Autumn

O Outono chegou. Embora hoje seja o dia oficial desta estação dourada, há muito que o sinto no ar, e os antigos confirmam que o Outono está hoje no seu auge. Esta sempre foi a minha estação do ano  favorita, porque traz consigo uma magia única, uma explosão de cores e aromas que nos lembram o calor da nossa casa, a família, a segurança e o aconchego. Ao longo dos anos fui-me habituando a reconhecer em cada estação a sua própria beleza, a estar atenta aos sinais de mudança no ar, a celebrar cada uma e, assim, a amar cada uma delas. Mas o Outono tem e terá sempre um lugar especial no meu coração e guarda memórias únicas só dele: os começos, a escola, a vida académica, Coimbra, o regresso a Leiria, o início do Mundo Flo, o N. na minha vida, a primeira vez que soube que seria mãe de uma menina, a viragem na minha carreira... Há muito para celebrar, mas também para libertar, organizar e preparar para os meses mais frios e introspectivos.

Autumn has arrived. Though today marks the official Equinox of this golden season, I've been feeling it in the air for a while now, and the elder ones confirm that Autumn is actually on its peak. This has always been my favorite season of the year, because it brings a unique magic, an explosion of colors and scents that remind us the warm of our homes, family, security and coziness. Through the years I've got used to recognize the beauty of each season, and to pay attention to the signs of change in the air, to celebrate each one and, therefore, to love each one. But Autumn has, and will always have, a special place in my heart and holds memories of its own: the beginnings, school, academic life, Coimbra, the return to Leiria, the rise of Mundo Flo, N. in my life, the first time I found out I was going to be a mother of a girl, the shift in my career... There is so much to celebrate, but also to let go, organize and prepare for the colder and more introspective months.
