No final do ano passado fui contactada pela Love Crafts para uma colaboração, na qual podia receber e experimentar alguns dos materiais da loja deles. A oferta é muita e senti-me como uma criança numa loja de doces, mas acabei por decidir algo um pouco diferente daquilo a que estou habituada. Nunca gostei de linhas matizadas, porque sempre as associei a bordados demasiado clássicos, mas quando vi as linhas Coloris da DMC, cujas paletas são super divertidas, fiquei cheia de vontade de as experimentar na minha Soul Garden Collection. Desde então, tenho andado entretida a misturá-las com as habituais linhas de uma só cor, e o resultado é mesmo bonito. Para já, apliquei-as numa carteira para cartões e numa mochila plana de adulto, ambas encomendas personalizadas.
Para além destas linhas, escolhi também alguns fios DMC Pearl Cotton, que raramente uso, mas que quero incorporar nos meus pontos de alinhavo e remendos, e lãs DMC para tapeçaria, que ainda não sei bem onde vou usar, mas que têm cores e texturas lindas e me deixam cheia de vontade de ser criativa.
A Love Crafts tem também muitos esquemas e kits, perfeitos para quem quer aprender a bordar.

At the end of last year, I was contacted by Love Crafts for a collaboration, in which I could receive and experiment some materials from their shop. The variety is huge and I felt like a child in a candy shop, but I ended up choosing something a little different from what I'm used to. I never enjoyed variegated threads, as I associate them with a more classical embroidery style, but when I saw Coloris threads by DMC, with their super fun palettes, I got excited to try them on my Soul Garden Collection. Since then, I've been busy mixing them with my usual solid threads, and the result is really beautiful. For now, I used them on a cards case and an adult backpack, that were both custom orders.
Besides these threads, I also got some DMC Pearl Cotton, which I rarely use, but that I want to incorporate in my slow stitching and mending, and some tapestry wool by DMC as well, which I haven't decided yet where to use, but which colors and textures are beautiful and make me eager to be creative.
