Depois de um ano de trabalho intenso e focado em tentar equilibrar encomendas com a criação de peças novas, a verdade é que a balança pende sempre para o lado daquilo que é mais solicitado, e pouco sobra para a experimentação livre.
Comecei o ano com uma grande necessidade de me sentar sem planos e me deixar levar pelos materiais e pela intuição, como já não fazia há muito. O frio fez-me preferir a lã como fio para bordar, em pedaços de linho meio aleatórios das minhas cestas dos muitos retalhos à espera de uma aplicação sustentável.
E destes dias resultou uma pequena coleção de pregadeiras em linho e lã, com pontos de bordado lento, cheias de texturas e cor, liberdade e muito conforto, o antídoto para este inverno frio e opressor (e não estou só a falar do tempo...).

After a year of intense work focused on trying to reconcile orders with creating new pieces, the truth is that the balance always tips towards what is most requested, and little is left for free experimentation.
I started the year with a great need to sit down without plans and let myself be guided by the materials and my intuition, as I hadn't done in a long time. The cold weather made me prefer wool as the main embroidery thread, on somewhat random pieces of linen from my baskets of many scraps waiting for a sustainable application.
And from these days a small collection of linen and wool brooches was born, with slow embroidery stitches, full of textures and color, freedom and comfort, the antidote to this cold and oppressive winter (and I'm not just talking about the weather...).
