Há muito que não fazia uma mala para a colecção Musical Bags! Desta vez foi um misto de necessidade em ter um saco onde transportar a minha máquina reflex, de testar algumas alterações para futuros modelos, e uma súbita vontade de aplicar um motivo que me fizesse lembrar algo de muito especial.
A música dos Dakota Suite foi-me apresentada pelo N. e hoje em dia faz-me muitas vezes companhia enquanto trabalho. Além de me transmitir muita calma, remete-me para um lugar acolhedor, confortável, e devolve-me inspiração, pelos ambientes minimalistas das imagens dos álbuns, fotografadas pela Johanna Hooson, pelos títulos das músicas e pelos sons simples, mas carregados de emotividade.
Esta mala é feita de linho natural e algodão axadrezado preto e branco. É acolchoada, para protecção da máquina (ou de um computador portátil), e tem uma divisória interior removível, para melhor arrumação. Tem um fecho, para maior segurança, e pegas em cabedal preto. Vou adicionar-lhe ainda uma alça em cabedal para a transportar a tiracolo. Na próxima colecção vou fazer algumas malas com este modelo. Até lá, vou testá-lo para perceber se precisa de alterações.

It's been a long time since I made the last item for Musical Bags Collection! This time, it was a combination of the need to make a bag where I could carry my reflex camera, the will to test some changes to my future models, and a sudden desire to add it a design that reminded me of something very special.
I was introduced to Dakota Suite music by N. and, nowadays, it is a regular presence while I work. Besides the fact that it gives me a great calm, it also takes me to a cosy, comfort place, and sends me lots of inspiration, through the minimalist moods of their album covers, photographed by Johanna Hooson, through their song titles and sounds, so simple but full of emotions.
This bag is made of natural linen and checkered cotton in black and white. It is padded to protect my camera (or a laptop), and has a removable divider on the inside, for better storage. It closes with a zipper, for better security, and has black leather straps. I will also add it a longer strap to carry it on my shoulder. I'm planning to make a few more bags with this design for my next collection. Until then, I will be testing it to figure out if it needs any improvements.
