Continuo a aguardar pacientemente pelo tão anunciado Outono, e Setembro foi rico em despedidas, últimos pôres-do-sol de fogo, dias de ainda andar descalça, fugir ao sol quente, apreciar a brisa fresca da manhã, aproveitar os tempos de espera entre casa-escola para tomar um café e ler ou desenhar ao som dos pássaros, colher os últimos frutos do quintal. Em breve os dias curtos vão pedir recolhimento, e este ano sei que me vão trazer sentimentos mistos, depois do último Inverno e deste ano particularmente desafiante. O foco tem sido um dia de cada vez, deixar cair uma folha de cada vez... Bem-vindo Outubro!

I continue to patiently await the much-anticipated autumn, and September was rich in farewells, the last fiery sunsets, days of still walking barefoot, escaping the hot sun, appreciating the cool morning breeze, using the waiting time between home and school to have coffee and read or draw to the sound of birds, harvesting the last fruits from the garden. Soon the short days will call for retreat, and this year I know they will bring me mixed feelings, after last winter and this particularly challenging year. The focus has been one day at a time, letting fall one leaf at a time... Welcome October!
