mundo flo: Altered notebooks: a collaboration Mundo Flo + Marilisa Mesquita

Hoje trago-vos mais uma colaboração criativa. Há já muito tempo que queria usar cadernos que fossem feitos à mão, de preferência em Portugal, e por alguém "real", com um projecto pequeno, como o meu, em vez de uma grande empresa. Encontrei a pessoa ideal, a Marilisa Mesquita. Se não conhecem o trabalho dela, experimentem ver os carimbos lindos que faz. A Marilisa também faz cadernos, de forma manual, e aceitou prontamente o meu desafio de criar uma linha de cadernos de vários tamanhos, cores e espessuras, que no interior tivessem algumas folhas com motivos de plantas carimbados. O resultado foi esta colecção de blocos de notas e cadernos de desenho de folhas lisas, em formatos A6 e A5, em cujas capas eu depois apliquei pedaços de linho pintados e bordados à mão. São todos diferentes, alguns têm carimbos apenas na primeira página, outros têm carimbos também no seu interior.

Em breve vou adicioná-los à loja online, mas como o tempo escasseia e o Natal está mesmo quase a chegar, se estiverem interessados em algum e tiverem pressa, é melhor contactarem-me entretanto.

Today I bring you another creative collaboration. I've been wanting for a long time to work on notebooks that are handmade, preferably in Portugal by a "real" person that has a small project, like me, rather than a big company. And that person is Marilisa Mesquita. If you don't know her work, try searching for her beautiful handmade stamps. Marilisa also makes notebooks, by hand, and readily accepted my challenge of making a collection of blank notebooks in different sizes, colors and weight, that had some sheets with stamped plants on the inside. The result was a collection of notebooks and sketchbooks, in A6 and A5 sizes, whose covers I then stitched with hand painted and embroidered linen patches. They're all different, some have stamps on the first page only, others have stamps spread through other sheets as well.
