Em Abril senti, por fim, a Primavera entrar, o gelo a derreter, a vida acordar cá dentro. Colhi nêsperas no quintal, e os primeiros morangos começaram a amadurecer. A minha horta da varanda está em flor, com abelhas e borboletas a visitar-nos diariamente, o que me deixa feliz! A cidade está bonita com árvores de flor cor de rosa em todo o lado. Comecei um novo projecto de tricot, a pensar no Outono. Devorei livros e toquei pela primeira vez num acordeão.
Abril também trouxe dias escuros, medos que me vieram bater à porta, momentos em que me senti pequena, vulnerável, zangada, impotente ou só muito cansada. É tudo parte da aprendizagem da vida. E no final, o balanço tem destas fotos bonitas cheias de cor e é isso que prefiro recordar.

On April I felt, at last, Spring coming in, ice melting and life awakening inside. I picked loquats in the backyard, the first strawberries began to rippen, my garden is at bloom and bees and butterflies visit us daily, which makes me very happy. The city is pretty dressed in pink flowered trees. I cast on a new knitting project, thinking about next Fall. I read good books and played the accordion for the first time.
April also brought me dark days, fears that knocked on my door, moments when I felt small, vulnerable, angry, powerless or just very tired. It's all part of life's growing pains I guess. But when I take stock in the end, I get these beautiful and colorful pictures and that's what I'd rather remember.
