Há tempos fui desafiada pela minha amiga Celeste a criar algumas ilustrações para um livro que estava a escrever. Já não era a primeira vez que colaborávamos em algo assim (já tinha criado uma ilustração o seu blog e algumas peças inspiradas nesse mesmo desenho), e por isso o tecido, as tintas e as linhas foram os materiais de eleição. Hoje é com muito orgulho que vejo este sonho antigo da Celeste prestes a materializar-se, e uma honra poder fazer parte dele, com várias ilustrações têxteis feitas por mim, incluindo a capa, uma versão mais madura desta menina de cabelos ruivos que é a minha Celeste imaginada, e o prefácio, também escrito por mim. Convido-vos a estar presentes na apresentação deste "Celestices - uma fusão entre memória, essência e emoção", onde vou expor estas ilustrações ao vivo, no próximo dia 20 de Maio, às 16h, na Biblioteca Municipal de Vila Nova de Poiares.

Some time ago I was challenged by my friend Celeste to create some illustrations for a book she was writing. It wasn't the first time we'd collaborated on something like this (I had already created an illustration on her blog and some pieces inspired by that same design), and therefore fabric, paints and threads were the materials of choice. Today it is with great pride that I see this old dream of Celeste about to come true, and an honor to be able to be part of it, with several textile illustrations made by me, including the cover, a more mature version of this girl with red hair that is my imagined Celeste, and the preface, also written by me. I invite you to be at the presentation of this "Celestices - a fusion between memory, essence and emotion", where I will show these illustrations live, on the 20th of May, at 4 pm, at the Municipal Library of Vila Nova de Poiares.
